This plugin is blowing my mind. Honestly, a game changer. It makes images possible that I had previously seen in my mind but couldn’t realize. Showing a few examples here- the effect is meaningful in many types of images but most obvious on photos shot at night. These photos have been edited using Bloom, Halation and Compression tools. There is some clipping in these initial tests because I started testing the software with relatively small jpegs.

The way the light seems to wrap around figures and foreground objects is blowing my mind. You’d expect compression to really flatten an image but the way it interacts with the bloom function makes objects within frame feel as though they inhabit a shared space rather than being layers stacked in front of one another. Images appear somewhat more shallow overall but the light feels more three dimensional. Having gotten my start as a film photographer, I’ve been waiting for this day since I made the move to digital.
